With the Titans sealing last spot in the eight thanks to their big win over the Warriors, markets for all matches on the first weekend of the NRL finals series are now open at TAB.
The Storm ($1.38) face Tom Trbojevic and the in-form Sea Eagles ($3) on Friday night as favourites to claim back-to-back titles, but Penrith have been the best supported team in TAB’s Premiership market all season with one punter having $10,000 on them to win at $4.50 back in March. The Panthers are $1.25 favourites against Souths at $3.90 on Saturday.
Coming off a 40-6 hiding by Penrith, Parramatta are $1.40 to end Newcastle’s season with the Knights $2.90 outsiders after a final round loss to the Broncos. While the injury ravaged Roosters ($1.25) are tipped to survive another week against Gold Coast ($3.85).
